Palm Oil - An MPOC Initiative

Recently we witnessed a unique and a distinct session at our dedicated venue Ardor 2.0 to understand the benefits of (@thinkpalmoil) Palm oil at an event organised by MPOC.

Dr. Bhavna Shah (MPOC Regional Head for India & Sri lanka) who enlightened everybody about the characteristics and the benefits of using Palm oil and its usage in our daily routine

The session was highly informative and actually gave a new perception on the use and features of Palm oil

We were all divided in a team if six for the various activities that were planned for us! Before that, we were shown clippings and videos that broadened our horizon towards the usage and knowledge of Palm Oil and it's properties!

We were glad to join hands with MPOC in spreading the message!

Apparently Palm oil is a common ingredient in many packaged foods, from better-for-you nutrition bars and heart-healthy spreads to indulgent cookies and candies. Much of the palm oil consumed in the United States is sustainably grown and produced from Malaysia!!

In addition to being non-GMO, palm oil is naturally trans fat-free and rich in heart- and brain-healthy vitamin E tocotrienols. More manufacturers are expected to turn to this premium ingredient as a replacement for both trans fats and GMO oils in their processed foods. Among the packaged food companies, Nestle, Danone, Kelloggs, Unilever, ConAgra Foods, Pepsico and General Mills all received high marks awarding them green ratings that reflected strong commitment. For the personal care category, Colgate-Palmolive, Henkel, L’Oreal, P&G and Reckitt Benckiser received green ratings for making strong commitments to using palm oil that does not contribute to deforestation.

The highlight of the event was the Food-Hunt that was organized for us. Every part of the event had the use of Palm Oil in the food items served to us. Our first clue took us to Pandey Paan (@pandeypaan) where we tasted a paan which had almonds fried to perfect crisp in palm oil.

Our next clue took us to My Bar Headquarters (@mybarheadquarters) where we had to prepare a salad using various veggies and other sauces and palm oil and finally to Punjabi By Nature (@punjabibynature2.0) for a Palm Oil quiz, and then returned back to @ardor2.1!! That was one kind of a food hunt!

We then had a blind fold tasting session where we tasted Kadhai Paneer which had the main ingredient of palm oil and it tasted super sumptuous!!!! All in all, we had an amazing time and actually feeling ecstatic about it!

Waiting for something like this to come up again!!
A great appreciation for Dr Bhavna to open a new window for us and a special mention of Ms Priyanka Patel who managed to get us together and involved us in every single activity making sure that we all had a great time and lovely experience to live by!

All work and no play, makes Mack a dull boy!!

Who doesn’t like some gaming? Who would not like to take a day off and relax a bit? Of course people have different ways of spending the time they got off from their daily monotonous routine. Some prefer to travel, some prefer to cook, some prefer to read stuff, some like to just peacefully sleep and some, like me, love reliving the childhood days! Be it cycling, or playing video games or playing gully cricket!

With this modernization dwelling up with great speed, we actually are in dire need of game parlors. Though a few are coming up where even the adults can go and have fun and burn out some stress. That being said, we have Mr Vikram Narula and Mr Vikas Gupta, who heard our prayers. By an initiative from Glued Entertainment Pvt Ltd and its owners, we have between us a theme park, modelled on the world famous entertainment destination-Las Vegas, “The Gaming Vegas”.

And let me remind you, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! (Wink Wink)

Established in April 2016 and located at Level 3 - Logix City Centre Mall, Sector-32, Noida, the Gaming Vegas is an indoor theme park and family entertainment center with a range of attractions for kids and adults alike.

With a line of internationally renowned games- Jurassic Park, Star Wars Battle Pod, Kung Fu Panda, Dojo Mojo & Batman- from the world’s leading game developers like Sega, Namco, Ice & Switch, along with attractions like a 360-degree full dome movie viewing space, The Gaming Vegas is a one of a kind entertainment center in India.

Some interesting features which I would like to draw your attention to is that, this place welcomes all. No matter what age group you fall in, this place has something to offer to all its patrons. It’s a closely packed place and with the options of gaming available at an affordable price range, amusement just never ends.

Now the highlight of the place, its bowling alleys. The first pinnacle is that they have managed to construct separate bowling lanes for kids and for adults. So now, the budding bowlers would actually have a place to begin their practices and slowly move on to the professionals lanes with ease. And for the adults, there won’t be any hindrances of kids!

The second culmination would be the moonlit design of the bowling arena. Designers from foreign land have been specially roped in to ensure the guests are reminded of a walk down the Vegas strip when visiting this arena. Designed by Pinifarina, a visit to this place is an experience in itself.
Recently, TGV celebrated their first anniversary and boy, were they in a mood of partying. After successfully marking their presence in Noida, the ones who were benefited were the customers who visited this game zone from 14th-16th April 2017.
Naming the festival as “Fabulous Vegas Carnival”, they were offering unlimited foods and unlimited games to its customers (family of four) just for INR 2,000. Along with that, they also arranged for dance troops, offline games for their customers and conducted activities with astounding round the clock! (WOW!). If that was not all, they also kept a lucky draw with bumper gift hampers to be given out to those who participated!

Considering the growing fan base and loyalty of the customers towards TGV, this is just the beginning. If you have missed out on this opportunity, worry not. Visit this place whenever possible, as they always have some deal waiting to be fixed for the utter enjoyment of their customers!

Have a peek into the arena here:

When we went for an Art Exhibition!

Finding Buddha

“Finding Buddha’, reflects the philosophy that Buddha is in everything that makes one happy. It has no fixed time, geographical boundaries or defined monetary value. Buddha can be a moment in the rain or a sip of a freshly brewed coffee. Buddha is in anything that awakens our mind and allow us to be in-tune with our inner self.”

These thoughts reflected in the viewpoint of the artist made us visit the exhibition that held in Indian Habitat Center on March 20th, 2017. “Hosted by Atul Todi”, was mentioned on the invite. What made us curious was the stand taken by this person with respect to Buddha. According to him, ‘Buddha’ means the ‘Awakened One’, someone who has woken up from the sleep of ignorance. This awakening happens with the recognition of ones source of happiness. For generations, Buddha paintings have shown him as a symbol of meditation. They do not imbibe the true message of ‘Buddha’ or connect with today’s generation." And we couldn’t agree more!

Stuck somewhere near the venue, our eagerness went notches higher. That’s when we started questioning ourselves, why? Why are we going to this exhibition? Why do we need to be there? Why were we wanted/needed? Little did we knew, we were about to be awakened from a complete distinctive frame of reference!

“Hi, I am Atul Todi, Sorry for kept you waiting”, with a vibrant smile, a person in early 30s maybe, greeted us with a firm handshake. There was something about him which was different. His walking style, or his way of speech or maybe just a divergent perception towards life. He then started showing us his work and explaining what his magnificent piece of art wanted to express.

What is a Buddha moment? Is it tangible? Does it stays forever? What is the validity of that moment? What makes us realize that this is it? With numerous questions in our minds, we began noticing the small things in life, we started realizing how simple, subtle and very basic things and moments in our life can make drastic changes in our lifestyle and the ones around us. Any moment can be Buddha moment, be it finding a parking spot when you actually need one, or maybe when you are having your favorite coffee, or let’s say, that moment when you are enjoying your “Me Time”. Everything was haywire, yet everything seemed perfect.
Starting with the painting of Buddha holding a lotus with a bee hovering over it represented pollination and this idea was ingested by the fact that when we learn something, even that is Buddha moment. Then there was one where he was drinking beer, then one where he was engrossed in his starbucks coffee, one with a guitar, one with a bong and others.

There is a distinction between a traveler and a tourist. Tourist is hallow, traveler is deep. For him, the destination is not the aim, the journey is his fun! He will have more memories of the journey rather than the destination. And that something is a Buddha moment! Yes!! That’s how deep this thought goes. It can be anything, it can be anywhere, and it can be with anyone.

Imagine your crush saying, “Hi” to you for the very first time..Imagine seeing tears in your father’s eyes when you achieve something you both have been longing for long..Imagine that approving smile on your mother’s face when you make her meet the love of your life for the very first time..Imagine getting your college degree..Imagine making love for the very first time..Imagine your first kiss..Imagine that moment when you want to go back early and you get a half day off..Imagine when you have been craving for water and finally you get some..Imagine when you reach somewhere on time despite leaving late..Just imagine..
These small things are those which makes life different yet we don’t realize..

Consolidating today’s lifestyle with the thoughts of Buddha is what the art of Mr Todi expressed. Acknowledging his viewpoint, that Buddha is not just a piece of furniture anymore, there is more to it. He is somewhere lost in the cobwebs of the city life and this was his attempt to make people realize that he is still there. He is still present. Oblivious of things that we ourselves do, he is present.

About Atul Todi:
Atul is an entrepreneur who is passionate about art and philosophy. He returned from the US to fix the art ecosystem in India. However, after trying to build a startup from IIT Kanpur, he realized that the art market in India was not ready fpr a big change. Since then, he has been working on different tech-ideas, while pursuing his art on the side.

Becoming Assiya_When you doubt your own existence!

12th January, 2017
7 PM

Simrann Keshwanii, 20, is a Final Year literature student at the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi and the Founder of a start-up, Born Of a Million Thoughts, that deals in on-ground Social Activism. She plans on changing the world, one word at a time, for words are mirrors and swords.

That’s what “About the Author” column exhibited. But going by the genre of the book and mindset of the author, a lot had to be unveiled.

Identity and Struggle, two complex concepts intermingle in this book and intersect at a common point, that of finding yourself.

Becoming Assiya is the story of a misplaced Syrian refugee and her trial with a past of Blood, wounds, War, Doubt and Hatred and the troublesome Hope of a better tomorrow. The woman's journey encompasses through the landscape of Wartime Syria, through her mother's journal and the rebuilding of a Post War identity for a land washed with blood, and what it meant to be alive, and stuck in the middle with no identity.

A harsh truth of life, Misery exists..once you engross yourself in the stories of refugees, a normal life eludes you. The world is somehow not hearing them out. We have got way more jokes and clutter in our lives than to turn to misery. And it’s eating people out as we breathe.

Tragedy isn’t a simple straight road to tread on, one needs to feel it, to let it grab you whole. The concept of book is no different. The book is a sneak into a dystopian future. War children carry the baggage of their past on their identity. And a refugee’s memory is the only access to reconstructing the past she had to endure and how she navigates between her present state and that of her war torn past.

The narrative leaves the reader on the edge of his seat, wondering which road to pick between love and hate, between fear and courage and between avenging the self and forgiving for the nation. During a lot of instances and the constant shifts in memory and the polyphony in the narrative it is the blurred, whimsical lines between the choices that the author portrays with finesse.

The book itself isn’t an easy read, but once you are in temperament of the author and have that rusty demeanor, there are a few phrases that will send chills down your spine! But what makes book stands apart? Its genre? Or the way of expression? I would rather say, the inclination of the author towards this side of the world and her point of view towards it.

But how come, a 20 something girl, a DU student, get under the shadow of refugees? What tragedy showed her this way? What led to her to believe that there is more to words than fancy and lyricism? What made her realize, that words, if used rightly can turned into weapons? What led to the demystification of her transcultural lens?

With multitudinous questions in my heart, I sat in front of her, trying to decode the pain in her eyes which she captured when she traveled extensively and got involved in the life of refugees. That desolation in her tone, when she told us how age was just a number, and that she was actually 85 at heart! Despite saying that, she tries to do the balancing act between passion and sustenance and her career. Writing a book is always on the agenda of anybody who has strange romance with words and she was no different. The way she talks and the essence once feels while conversing with her, shows the level of commitment she has with locution. Being an avid reader, highly expressive in nature who loves shouting, apart from sleeping, she was kind enough to solve some mysteries growing intense inside me!

Excerpt from our conversation:

What punctuation mark best describes your personality? Why?
The semi colon - it has something to say even after you think the story has stopped.

What are common traps for aspiring writers?
I think everybody who is good at language wants to be a writer someday. We need to understand that writing is 20% of the job. There's a lot of blood, sweat, wounds and laying yourself out bare naked. If you can do that, I think you've avoided the trappings.

Did you ever consider writing under a pseudonym?
Under anonymity, yes. Because, as sad as it is, I am not the brand. The book is, and I believe unmasking your identity steals the show from the content.

Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
Lots. Words are mirrors.

Does your family support your career as a writer?
Yes. They'd go till the end of the world for me. Specially my grandfather and mom, who proofread Becoming Assiya about 18 times.

What do you think of “trailers” for books?
Expensive process. One may do it if your budget permits. Though, I think, content is king and if you’re marketing gimmicks are the only thing sailing you through, tough luck.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your book?
That writing is a strange thing. We give our names to books, but nobody really knows where the idea or the words come from. It is very secretive a process and doesn't reveal itself out. You just sit with a laptop, and it arrives.

If given a choice, which character’s life would you like to live and why?
I think I'm already living Assiya's life. All of us carry some post-colonial baggage. It's hard wired into our identity, and none can escape it. War is something we live with, every day. It is up to us to conflate it with our present and make peace with the future. And very often, in doing so, we fall into the clutches of fear and violence. That's how we lose. The line between hope and despair is rather thin.

Does, at some point in the book, there is a situation which is faced by you as well.
I think at the opening Assiya finds her mother's journal. That is the only access to her past. For me, I had my great grandmother's journal, written in Urdu passed down to me when I were only 5 or 6. That was the first treasure I knew. And no lament is greater than losing it. Luckily, Assiya retains it and inside its pages, finds a part of herself.

Give us an interesting fact about your book, which you think, people might miss out.
It screams for a mindful, invested read and the line between fact & fiction shall absolve.

What mindset do you expect the people to have while reading your work?
I don't think they need to have a mindset. We're all Children of War and at some level carry its wounds in our hearts.

What is the biggest thing that people THINK they know about your subject/genre, that isn't so?
The pain and agony. We shed some sad emoji’s on Facebook and forget. My book is an attempt to shake people up from their slumber.

A good villain is hard to write. How did you get in touch with your inner villain(s) to write this book? Was there a real-life inspiration for him/her/it?
There are no Black & White characters in the book. There are no dehumanized monsters. I've tried to present a person in grey and what makes them so. It is an easy thing to create a villain and direct hate towards them, it is a task to create a rounded humane character.

How do you feel when someone disagrees with something you have written?
I feel my project has succeeded. Good writing forces you to think.

List five adjectives to describe yourself.
Ambivert. Ambivalent. Difficult. Empath. Sleepy.

If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
"If Gods answered prayers, all men would perish for they only wish evil upon one another" - Epicurus

If you wake up as your mentor, or someone whom you look up to, what's the first thing you would do?
I think the woman I really look up to is my professor, Ms. Mitali Mishra & my English teacher from school, Ms. Ragashri Pillai. These are 2 women of rock solid substance in a world where smilers and talkers are a many. I've seen them stay true to their Art with utmost integrity and I wish to reach that level of commitment someday. I'd never want to switch back to Simran if I woke up as them!

You sure want to change the world and their mindset, how and why do you think, it can happen through your book? Or let’s say, why did you chose this medium?
I've been involved in on ground social activism as well and have hosted a lot of charity drives for the underprivileged & for Acid attack victims through my NGO. I felt the most powerful medium is the Word. It flies.

Apart from your book, how do you plan to create that noise that would lead to people actually listen rather than hear your cry?
There's already a lot of noise. I want them to sit in silence and introspect.

Lastly, how will people, of your mindset, join your hands in bringing about this change? Where can they find you, virtually?
I'm on Facebook and very active there, www.fb.com/simran.keshwani.
Apart from this, book related queries can go to

Coming from a fervent debater all her life, it’s her attempt to capture a murdered city which now houses revenge leaves a tale of lust, love, nationalism and what it meant to be human in the time of War via this book! Go give it a read!!

Hospital: A new meaning!!!!

3rd December, 2015
Inside MRI scan machine
8.07am

Pain! it deserves to be felt! there is a certain limit of pain which one can bear..and I'm not talking about the internal pain, that we all carry always for someone or the other..I'm talking about the physical pain..

The more we grow, age wise,we become used to these pains!we got a hurt from bed,its ok..got hurt from door, its ok, got hurt from a stone, its ok etc etc. there is an indirect relationship between the pain felt and complain about it.. the more we grow, the less we complain..

But,do you remember the first tie you felt that excruciating pain? there is always a time when you feel something for the 1st time..sometimes its a very tender age and sometimes its at a very advanced stage of your life!i felt it at the age of 25!

Its 5.27am by the clock in my phone and i plan to wake up..the very 1st step on the ground just triggered a nerve bend and i fall down!i could not feel my left leg..only thing i could feel was pain!unbearable pain!the kind of pain i had for the very 1st time in my life!

My parents woke up with a jerk and did almost everything possible to reduce it temporarily..all their efforts went in vain..the pain kept on increasing..it was as if the pan was on a mission and was increasing with every effort i did to stop it!

Dad rushed me to the nearest clinic. the doctor was not up till then but god bless that soul,he came down just to see me..i could not move but i could hear everything..he asked me to get a MRI scan done and visit him in the hospital.

Ive always seen the MRI in movies or sitcoms but never saw it the way i did today. this time,i was in it! for full 10minutes i was in that machine and trust me,these were the longest 10minutes of my life..in those 10minutes i actually lived my 25yrs of life all over again..

People say that when we met an accident,we saw whole of our lives revolve in front of us. i could now relate to them.. i saw myself,my parents, my relatives, my friends..i felt going away from them..it was just an MRI but for someone who never saw, heard or felt anything like that in real life ever,it was traumatising!

I was worried, for everyone, about everything!i would have entered a different phase but the process ended and i came back to my senses. i thought everything is ok now..the reports will come and the doc will prescribe some medicines and il be back to my normal state! i knew very little about what was about to be unfolded!

We went to the hospital and i was admitted!i had drip on my right hand!i can still feel that pinch which i felt when they pierced the needle into my vain! dad was there..i could see the tension that gathered on his face..i could sense the tension in maa's voice, i could feel the tension in the jokes my sis cracked to make me feel better!

The doc came,it was a case of slip disc! just a FYI,if a doctor says Oh My God, one should not be scared..though i did not know that,i was scared when i heard these 3 magical words! he just announced that we require a surgical intervention! he was looking at me as if i understood whatever he said!!dude,im not a doctor!u need to talk in a layman's language!

Dad came to my rescue, like always!doc asked for a surgery to be done but somehow dad and me both were reluctant!i did not say anything but deep inside i was wishing that i dint require a surgery!and dad said the exact same words!he asked the doc to wait and went to some other doctor for a second opinion. the other doc said that we can manage without a surgery also and see how my body reacts and finally i was discharged!

I was there fro two days, the food they gave me was not less than what you might get in jail or something..it was eerie..staying there, spending the night there..with all the negativity all around!

Till now,i was being addresses by my name only, wherever i went but for the very 1st time i was just a patient who was not required to be addressed by his name! it was as if you were a chicken, piled up with other chickens and for the butcher you were just another piece of meat!

Nevertheless, we are back home now but im on a complete bed rest..though i need to go o a doc every alternate day..mom is worried, dad is worried!im worried! instead of being a support to them, ive just become a pressure! i need to get well soon!

Now, why did i write all this?? if you are reading this,u need to understand one thing which i learnt the hard way,u need to take care of yourself!either you have people dependent on you or you will have people dependent on you! you never know how and when life will struck you down, in order to get back up u need to take the best care of yourself in whatever way you can!its actually the survival of the fittest..it doesn't matter if you are slim, lean or fat..u need to be fit,in whatever shape you are!

If this piece of writing can make a difference to even a single person,i guess my purpose would be succeeded!

Take Care

Guy who made me listen to Radio!

18th April 2015
12.37pm
Lost in the old memories

"Aaah, what a tea!", the words that came to mind as I took a sip of the new flavour of green tea I got. I am new to this so its inevitable that I hate green teas, but this one made me craving for another round.

Its amazing how a single sip can take you so deep in the past that you feel as if it happened yesterday. Date was 27th June,2011, the pioneering Orientation Programme batch which our institute thought would help students in their future!

Yes,I giggled too, but today,4yrs later you realise, they were right!

So, the very first batch was planned and luckily I, with my 9 other friends, got a seat in the same. I was happy, not because I got a seat in the batch people were dying for, but because all the 9 other friends were girls!

I know,happiness to the core!! ^_^

The 1st 3 days were good, nothing very exciting happened, thou we had fun(obviously) but the connection one has with the faculty was missing!
Then came 27th and we were seated at 8.45am sharp. We had in front of us a guy, looking early in his 30s, with neatly combed hair, doing something on the laptop, probably setting up the slides, in a navy blue blazer! I was thinking, "bhai ko garmi nhi lagti kya?"
But he had a charm, had something that attracted the whole class towards him. we were out of doubt in the very first 5 minutes of the session.

BEST.SESSION.EVER

We had an amazing time, our outlook changed towards everything, the things he taught, the way he spoke, the aura he carried, the charm he had, the spark he ignited among us, made  a difference!

He left as soon as the session was over. He did not tell his name till the end and when he left, We were so mesmerised that we dint even ask for it! maybe some did. a class always have students who would buzz around the faculty like bees and seek solutions for life!! god bless the faculties who deal with this!

He left, his wordings, his teachings stayed! he did an activity which I loved to the extreme, played the same with my friends and other sessions which I took! and yes of course credit goes to him.

Next date, 3yrs later, July 2104, same Institute, we meet again!

I saw him, the same neatly combed hair, a safari suit this time and the very same activity! and I knew the answer. it was as if I was living the same class again!

One of the best sessions we had that day.

I am used to listening songs on my phone or just over the Ipod. I do not like listening to songs on radio coz now the songs come in between the commercials, earlier in the days it was the other way round!
But he made me listen to radio voluntarily! reason?? he works on a radio station! And thanks to his regular updates. I know when he is on the radio.

I remember, his show was being aired and he asked for a question and I quickly sent the answer. Having your name called on radio is one of the best feelings ever. He read my message along with my name!! that moment was truly bliss full (a smile just escaped my mouth)

When we meet a person, we get a vibe from him or her. trust me on this thing, this soul has the strongest positive vibes Ive ever felt. Finding a silver lining to every thing, knowing what he is going after, handling the fame, getting a hold of how things has to be done, taking initiative or if required, taking charge!! He is like an epitome of perfection!

Yes, there must be flaws, but in some cases the negatives cannot overshadow the positives!

Recently did an event with him and I had nothing major to do but still i loved it. I do look forward to have more arrangements of universe where I can be of any help and I'll be readily available.

On this day, I just want to thank you sir for making me who I am,for considering me one to be trustworthy, for sharing your thoughts and thinking which we all could adopt while rising the stairs of growth in life, thank you for just being there!

Reason for such a gesture??
Its coz today is your a birthday.

Wish you a very Happy Birthday sir, may you achieve all what you deserve! Have a rocking year ahead with all the happiness coming your way!! God bless!!

National Convention-The preparations!!!

December21st , 2014
The cosy bed
6.38pm

2154 students, the complete auditorium, siri fort auditorium, filled with faces of all kinds and of all genres, one good morning from the President and a united greeting in response,a silent listening among all and the wait for a fun filled evening.

The scenario is of the National Convention for CA students.

The calender showed 27th November, around 7.32 in the morning when a call woke me up. "dude, aaj meeting hai 3 baje"
I don't know what replied I gave, but I knew I said something like,"bhai, uthne to de!"

The next agenda after the exams was the convention and I knew my participation would become mandatory if I attended even one meeting and yes,I was damn right.
The meeting commenced and I tried to ostracise myself as efficiently as possible, but my efforts were in vain. on voting by my friends present there,I was chosen to be one of the heads and there was only one word on my mind- FUCK!!

I knew I had been bestowed upon with abnormal powers, lets say,due to my friends( don't worry,il get back to u soon :/) and just like spider man used to say,"with great powers comes great responsibilities"
My father always say either don't take up any responsibility and if you do,then complete it with utmost excellence so that no one can have access to the kryptonite to your superpowers.

And the promotions phase began

My intention in entering the convention was to expand my network and it did. The best part comes when you go and meet different students, faculties, members etc. some faculties are very supportive, some are equally anti supportive. There is a feeling of content when you talk to people and you are able to maintain their attention on what you are speaking. trust me,its very difficult to do so!

I kept my areas limited and got a good response,I was content, thou I was still inconclusive as to how will I proceed further. It was the end of 9th day of my promotion,I had already gathered a 100students when I got to know that nothing is in order and the coordinators are fighting among themselves regarding the petty issues which just came up out of nowhere.

Someone had to enter in between and deep inside I knew it was me,but I was scared. not coz of the fight, but what if things worsened?what if my actions backfired?what if someone judged me wrong?

I entered

Everybody was supportive, everybody wanted the convention to succeed and just when they saw a light, all ran in unity towards it. when today I look back,I feel that if everybody dint kept their egos aside and did whatever they felt is correct, everything would have gone wasted.

Things started flowing in the manner they should. people religiously worked in whatever time they could get and finally things started moving. we had to match the pace of time in completing the work and thanks and a big hug to all the people working who made it possible.

After a major portion of time dedicated  towards the promotions we now shifted to delegation of duties to be performed on the main day. A group of 5 sat with me and helped in delegating and dividing the work. Everyone had to be strategically placed and I knew it very well how to do that :p

The kits were arranged, the shopping was completed, the flowers for our dignitaries were ordered, gifts and merchandise was arranged and literally in a span of 5 days, everything was finalised!

The anchors, who were selected, actually earned their position on the podium. For the first time(if im not wrong) 3 stages of auditions were conducted and all judges by unbiased and educated judges! ahem well,at least 2 stages were! ;)

I really feel bad for my co-host. I being involved in almost everything had to manage the people flowing in and out and their issues and grievances and also prepare for my session. She did all the hard work of preparing the script, editing it,adding and deleting stuff and finally finalising it. I just came and saw whether what she wrote is feasible and trust me,it was awesome!! love you "M1" :p

It was 15th night,10.27pm when a guy, apparently the paper presenter, called and said in a south indian accent," sir,I'm in train and will reach Delhi by 6am"
and I was like,I'm screwed!! where the hell will I keep him at 6 in the morning???? I was looking after the accommodation and I was so stressed by that one call!! I called a dear friend and asked him if he could pick this guy and keep him at his home for at least 4 hrs so that I can complete the formalities at the hotel already booked and he readily agreed! :D

For all those working in the administration dept of any office,I salute you guys! its hell of a job to manage everything! I know this for sure, one just cannot conquer alone! if you want to be invincible, rather than making people work, work with them..

One guy came at 5pm and the last guy to enter that day checked in at 11.47pm. after arranging for food and other requirements,I headed for home..when I rang the door bell, it was 1am!

The big day had finally arrived and things had to be kept in control for at least next 2days and thank god they did!

Among all these mismanagment and completing work within the given deadlines I found a person who is an epitome of managing things efficiently. It was his constant support that kept my sanity intact.  Thankyou my "kuber" :p

I lied on the bed at 1.32am just to again get up at 4am.

The next day, place was named ITO, time displayed by institute clock was 5.32am and i was standing there to execute the further orders.......
